SAA-TPEF Holds 3rd General Assembly and Inducts New Members
Since 2017, or the formation of the Scholars Alumni Association (SAA) of TPEF, the annual summit served as its avenue in gathering alumni scholars for oath-taking of new members and planning of outreach projects for the year.
This year, 25 individuals attended the 3rd General Assembly “Consolidating Efforts Towards Organizational Development of SAA-TPEF”. The half-day event presented and reviewed the organization’s by-laws, with revisions on officers’ term limits, from two to three years for the group’s better stability and continuity. Also, 16 new members of the alumni association took their oath, with Eon Rudge Mojica elected as their batch’s representative.
Initial plans for this year’s outreach project was also discussed. The SAA-TPEF wanted to take part in the first project of classroom construction, with its contribution on improving the learners’ water access, sanitation and hygiene. This year’s identified community outreach projects are provision of water tank and hygiene kits for learners of Ambatutong School in Paracelis, Mountain Province scheduled in July. Another project is targeted in Luzon by last quarter of 2019.
