DSWD 3rd renewal of registration and license to operate awarded to TPEF

Since 2016, TORM Philippines Education Foundation, Inc. has been a recognized Social Welfare Development Agency (SWDA) with the Department of Social Welfare and Development—Standards Bureau.

TPEF was awarded its Certificate of Registration on March 25, 2022, and License to Operate for another three years, covering May 25, 2022, to May 26, 2025, after passing the regular performance evaluation of its operation and compliance with the DSWD requirements three years after the second renewal (February 2019 to February 2022). On October 29, 2022, TPEF was awarded and received these certificates.

Being a SWDA, the certificates issued by DSWD were in satisfactory compliance with the provisions of Section 23 of Republic Act 4373, “An Act to Regulate the Practice of Social Work and Operation of Social Work Agencies in the Philippines and for other purposes.”

Dedicated to its mission, TPEF commits to developing the youth as role models of society through education as well as other transformative learning avenues. The License to Operate authorizes TPEF to provide educational support through its three programs—Scholarship Grant, Scholars’ Development, and Social Development Initiatives—for the benefit of marginalized children and youth across the country.
