Career Choices and Preparing for College Life

The first webinar conducted for the new TPEF scholars for SY 2021-2022, is on “Career Choices and Preparing for College Life”. This was facilitated by Ms. Myreen Cleofe, PhD Cand., RGC, RPsy, RPm, from the University of Sto. Tomas last August 7.

This webinar aims to helps scholars become aware about courses of interest, be equipped on strategies on how to succeed in college and helps them figure out their paths. Career options are discussed and what motivates the scholars to take a particular course. The speaker also provided beneficial tips to help them e equipped academically and personally for college education and embracing the new normal.

College life, changes and challenges are also tackled for them to be prepared when classes start. They were directed to the steps in goal setting; hence the output is polishing their academic and personal goals.

All new scholars, and their parents have attended the two-hour session enthusiastically.

Self and Social Responsibility Workshop and Orientation

A three- and half hour virtual workshop and orientation was conducted to the new TPEF scholars about “Self and Social Responsibility”. This activity aimed to affirm the scholar’s self-worth as part of the society, develop their sense of responsibility and boost their confidence that they can make a difference in the world.

The new scholars were very active during the workshop together with their parents who joined with them.
